Latte vs cortado
Same espresso either way — the latte simply carries more milk and more foam. It's the milk, not the coffee, that tells these two apart.
Same double shot, wildly different amounts of milk. A cortado keeps it to a one-to-one splash in a small glass, so the espresso leads every sip. A latte pours three times as much steamed milk into a tall cup under a thin foam lid — mellow, milky and mild. If the cortado is a short, sharp coffee, the latte is the long, comforting one.
